TD Surface Stain and Seal
Products We Use
What goes on the wood and the concrete matters as much as how it is applied. Here is what we use and why.
Expert Stain and Seal (wood)
Every deck, fence, and exterior wood project gets Expert Stain and Seal. It is a true oil-based product that seeps into the wood fiber instead of sitting on top of it. The result is a finish that ages gracefully over years and never chips or peels. When the color is ready to be refreshed, we come back and restain. No stripping, no surprises.
We do not use Cabot, Behr, Pittsburgh, or Thompson is Water Seal on customer jobs. They are designed for the homeowner aisle, not the contractor truck.
Direct Colors ColorWave (concrete, transparent)
For transparent concrete finishes we use Direct Colors ColorWave, a water-based concrete stain. It penetrates the slab and brings out the natural veining and texture of the concrete. We seal it with Direct Colors AquaSeal for traffic and cleaning protection.
Solid concrete coatings
For solid color finishes on concrete we use high-quality concrete coatings. With solids, the brand matters less than the prep, which is why we focus on grinding, etching, and cleaning before the first coat.
Cleaning chemicals
Expert Stain and Seal cleaning chemicals on wood, professional-grade concrete prep on slabs. The right cleaner makes the difference between a finish that bonds and one that fails.
Safety
Everything we put on a property is OSHA-graded, low-VOC, and safe around pets and vegetation once dry.
